Teaching English at the Institute of Finance and Economics has been a rewarding experience. The students are eager to learn and are excited by the challenges that learning a foreign language bring. I am humbled by my students and the goals that they are working towards accomplishing.
IFE is located in the heart of UB and is filled with staff and faculty that are all trying to enrich the educational experiences of Mongolia's youth. It is never a dull moment and the students never cease to surprise me. I will miss IFE when my Princeton in Asia Fellowship comes to an end, but am excited to see what positive impact IFE students make on Mongolia in the future!

To me being a part of such an organization is an honor. In my opinion IFE is the best university in Mongolia. It offers quite a lot of choices to its students. Such as 2+2 program that I am currently teaching Chinese. This 2+2 program is very beneficial to its students although they have a rough time spending around 12 to 14 hours a day they earn a good skill, good time management, and most importantly they will be able to take part in any action without getting tired. All of the students seem that they are all fully satisfied by our university’s service that we provide. So I hope our “2+2” program will be much better and better.

Wang
My name is Wang. I am a Chinese language teacher from Dalian Polytechnic University. Because of the “2+2” program, I have had the chance to teach for one year at the Institute of Finance and Economics. IFE is a very well-known economic university in Mongolia. It has been my pleasure to work here from 2012 to 2013.
The teachers at IFE are very kind and always professional. When I came here in 2012, the teachers gave me a lot help. They always care about me, especially teachers in the Humanities Department and “2+2” Program Department. In order to get students to become interested in Chinese, understand Chinese culture, and participate in international competitions, they supported me to look for opportunities with the Chinese Culture Center and the Confucius College. Until now, we have made many achievements. For instance, we have established a Chinese Cultural room, and we will hold a wonderful Chinese competition with the Chinese Culture Center. Sixteen students had the opportunity to take part in the 12th Annual “Chinese Bridge”—Chinese proficiency Competition for Foreign Students in 2013.
The students at IFE are very excellent and diligent. They have many courses, but they still take night tutoring very seriously, and then they do their homework at midnight. So I am very moved by them.
How time flies! One year is almost over. I will cherish the rest time with the
teachers and the students in IFE.

Coming to Mongolia was not on my plans. However, twists and turns in life have changed rapidly. Be open to experiences, life throws fun and laughs at anyone. I'm grateful to have this opportunity explore this unique country in the world.
