Decades of Excellence
Since its foundation in 1924, the Institute of Finance and Economics has always focused on training leaders who, by acting responsibly and reasonably, will use their knowledge to contribute to a better society. For more than eight decades, IFE has been adapting to the fast and constant pace of change while preparing professionals who are capable of dealing with those developments and new innovations.

1935 – 1946 Technical School of Finance: Major role in the introduction and implementation of a double accounting system in Mongolia used in finance and accountancy areas until 1960. |

1946 – 1991 Technical School of Finance And Economics: Order of the "Red Banner of Labour" awarded by the Government for the achievements in the training of professional accountants and financial specialists. |

The Institute of Finance and Economics is one of the oldest universities in Mongolia. With almost 90 years of experience, it is today known as the most modern Mongolian institution of higher education in terms of program design, its use of multimedia methods and its innovative approach to teaching and learning. More than 3600 undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students currently benefit of the high quality degrees in finance, accounting, marketing and other business-related fields.
