Business Development Project in Rural Areas

The primary goal of the project is to increase employment in different Mongolian provinces. To reach this, the project "Creative Business Environment and Business Development Structure in Rural Areas'' wants to
  • to promote small and medium businesses and
  • business-supportive bank and financial institutions, programs and centers
to grow further as independent agencies and primary models in their territory. The project is under the management and leadership of MBA students studying at the Institute of Finance and Economics. They are supervised by professional experts and professors. Local government bodies participate actively. The four main contributors of the project are
  1. The Institute of Finance and Economics,
  2. the Governor of Bayankhongor province and the Citizen's Representative Hural,
  3. the international organisation World Vision and
  4. KHAAN bank.
Project Organisation

MBA students from the Institute of Finance and Economics will work on their own business development projects for 2.5 years. They will be supported by and receive input from the project's main contributors.

Within these 2.5 years, cooperative mechanism and systems between the soum, businesses and administrative institutions will be created. Additionally local support systems will be strengthened in order to push forward socio-economic growth and development. This will create job opportunities for local inhabitants. Special attention is also paid to sustaining the improved business environment.
